In a Montessori classroom, children take ownership of their environment. They also feel special when they are given carefully thought of works and activities. My idea for the light table set is to give my students a great extension to their learning. It will be used in all areas of the classroom. I plan to use the light table in the practical life area for developing fine motor skills, sensorial area for grading and matching, cultural and science for scientific observation, language arts for letter formation and building, and math area for quantification. For example, the students can use letters to write their names or sight words. They can also build new shapes using tangrams or other manipulatives. The possibilities are endless. Thank you in advance. My students would love to have this addition to our room for the next school year!
