This project was a student requested STEM Robotics unit. Students are interested in how robotics have changed our world and how their future will be impacted through robotics. The STEM Robotics Unit will consist of an overview on how robots have changed our world, how they can improve our future, and a hands on project to create an actual robot. Students will work in cooperative groups of 2-3 to design an educational motorized robot. They will be able to practice basic programing and coding as they develop their robots. The robots have a remote control, and students will be able to create 4 variations on the same robot and demonstrate the different functions of each variation. Robotics are a standards based learning requirement in many other countries, and quickly becoming a favorite field of study in the United States as well. I would like to introduce this unique topic to my students as a cutting edge lesson they would not be able to get without the generous funding from Donors Choose.
