Within my general education classroom, I have a variety of learners and students with special needs. I am constantly looking for ways to best meet my students' needs so they can meet their fullest potential. I'm currently seeking out ways to allow my students to have movement throughout the day while learning, without distracting other students around them. It is important for me that every student can learn in a way that makes them successful, without infringing on the needs of others. Every student is different, therefore my classroom environment needs to be different to meet the needs of all my learners. Flexible seating, such as wooble chairs, lap desks, floor cushions, and wobble cushions will allow for movement while instruction is occurring. Figits are great tools for students to use while in conventional seating arrangements. All these classroom additions will greatly meet my students' sensory needs while they are attending to the academics being taught.
