A classroom rug gives everyone an enjoyable place to gather and learn. It's a place where the teaching standard shines and learning process begins. Our new classroom rug will accomplish so much for my students. For example, it will be a centralized place where we can meet daily for whole group lessons, read alouds, and small group meetings. A new rug is also the perfect place for mediation when needed, comfort and fairness. Lastly, it will give the students a comfortable retreat during the day as opposed to the hard floor or their chairs. Research states that kinesthetic learners must get up out of their desk and have the freedom & flexibility to move! Having a rug will allow my students to move to the floor in comfort, give them a new place to gather, work collaboratively, and read. We are so excited at the thought of having this beautiful new addition to our classroom. Please consider making a donation to bring this project to life.
