This year is an exciting year. I have transitioned from a third-grade teacher to the coach of kindergarten through fifth-grade teachers and students. My goal for this year is to increase engagement and authentic learning across the curriculum with S.T.E.A.M. I work side by side with teachers to make sure that our students work on their 21st-century skills to help them prepare for a future that is much different than my own. Learning and understanding happen through experiences not through memorizing and recalling basic information. So far this year, we have met and learned from authors, gone on virtual field trips, programmed robots to perform mathematical equations, created our own electrical circuits, and we have so much more planned for the rest of the year. Providing some of these memorable experiences require money. That is why I have created this page to help with their upcoming projects.
