The materials requested will help to create a cozy, inviting literacy center in our classroom. The rug and cushions will provide an alternative seating area for my students to "curl up" with a good book. The mp3 players and headphones will allow for supported reading (audio files and books are available to us) and an increase in fluency and reading levels. Many of my students have not yet found a love for reading, but I know that can be changed with an inviting reading area and appropriate supports. Please help me ignite a passion for reading books to my students.
