My classroom is about learning all of our TEKS through play, direct instruction, and choice. My students work hard and learn a lot in a very short time with many hands-on materials available through stations. My students are healthy 5 or 6-year-old children, with all the energy and enthusiasm to learn to grow and to develop life-long skills to be successful in the classroom, home, and the world. They do not to sit at their desks nor are they expected to be quiet all day. They are given many opportunities to explore to grow and develop through play or stationsthe way children learn best. My students have a love for learning, building knowledge, developing their ability to get along with others, and explore ways of reaching out to the world.
