I am a 2nd grade ESL teacher in a public school where 90% of our students get free lunch. Many of them come from low income families. My school has amazing teachers and students. The students try to do their best even though there are many barriers that they face each day. Some of those barriers include getting healthy meals each day and having clean clothes to wear.
