My students attend school in an underserved community with a majority of my students on "free and reduced lunch," the federal measure of poverty. A large percentage of our students are migrants, homeless, and/or special needs. The majority of our students are second language learners, and are rapidly becoming English Proficient. 98% of my students are Latino. My students are intelligent and eager learners. They have a great deal of energy and I must be prepared for this youthful excitement every day with a variety of project-based activities to make learning interesting and to keep my students constantly engaged during my class. Our school is a beautiful and inviting place for our students to learn with ample opportunities for blended and flexible learning. We are also a 1:1 Chromebook school!
