This is my 3rd year of teaching special education English. In those 3 years, I have learned a lot about teaching. I hold ALL my students to high standards, no matter their background. I believe every student can learn! At my school, we believe in high expectations for all students. We think positive interactions will promote healthy relationships and learning. As a staff, we work together to get students where they need to be. In my class, my students face tough challenges, but when they come to school they love to dive into learning. They try hard and want to succeed despite their disabilities. I work with a very diverse population of students. Among those students, 57% are special education. They struggle daily with reading fluency and comprehension. My students know that I love and care for them.
