Students are frequently on their iPads to do assignments and activities: Class Dojo, Moby Max, SumDog, Epic, Prodigy, Zearn, and Nearpod to name a few. However, headphones supplied for the classroom frequently break. The two main problems are shorts in the wiring or broken jacks in the iPads. Students are blessed to have one-to-one iPads. We have many who need to have it quiet when working and when you have half the classroom with no headphones, even at a low volume, the increased noise in the room often makes it impossible to do the activities and we have to go back to other activities. The iPad time provides students for a chance to differentiate their instruction. Differentiation is key to helping children learn at their own pace.
