My student spend a month studying the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We also spend another month starting WW1, WW2, & the Holocaust. They feel so strongly about the inalienable rights of every human being & understand the only way not to repeat history is to learn about and understand history. "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" is the perfect book for my students to see the beauty of friendship no matter how different others think you are & will be a memorable lesson. It well also promote compassion and an understanding of acceptance, which is so important in our world today.

About my class
