First off, we need basic classroom supplies that many people don't consider, such as tissues, paper towels, and hand sanitizer (in addition to more pencils — always more pencils). Many of my students come from poverty, and food scarcity is a real issue in many of their lives. I try to always have snacks available to help them settle their hungry bellies so they can stay focused on their learning. Teenagers are constantly hungry already, and many of mine are missing meals every single day. Thank you so much for helping us not worry about the basics so we can focus on learning!
