I am entering my 24th year as a visual art teacher in Chicago, and have spent the past 13 years teaching K-8 grade students in a fine and performing arts neighborhood school. I am passionate about arts education and strive to provide my students with diverse creative experiences every year. Through visual art, my students not only learn how to use a variety of media and tools, but also how to become independent thinkers able to explore and express their ideas about themselves and the world around them.
