I am a TNTP Teaching Fellow Alum for the DC Teaching Fellows. I am currently working in a public charter school that focuses on rigorous academics and teaching character strengths to educate the whole student. Our student body is about 46% African American and 50% Latino. We have a Special Ed population of about 21% and about 14% of our students are English Language Learners. We are working diligently to ensure our students are critical thinkers that wil work to make their community a better place.
