My students are energetic, fun-loving, and eager to learn. They love to have opportunities to perform, create, and practice music skills. They do not have the same opportunities as students in nearby school districts. I would like them to have the same advantages. It is a known fact that learning to play an instrument enhances higher brain functions necessary for math and science. It is said playing the piano isn't something you just do on your own. Playing with others is a social experience that teaches listening, communication, and teamwork. Also, learning to play the piano requires patience and perseverance. Those who learn to play the piano learn to be disciplined.
