By playing games such as these in Spanish, students will be acquiring language and it will not feel like work. All of the games I have selected require the use of language skills to play. A key skill in second language development is called circumlocution. This is the ability to describe an idea or thought when one does not actually know the vocabulary word needed. The game, Hedbanz, requires students to use that skill to try and describe the word on the other person's head. The other games I have selected will be utilized in the classroom to make language learning more exciting. Students are motivated by competition.
