I would love to offer my second graders the chance to start learning how to use an iPad in school. Most of my students do not have access to any type of technology at home. Allow my students have access to technology and at the same time, learning important concepts for second grade in a motivating way. There are a lot of online games and educational websites that I wish to introduce my second graders, especially my ADD an ADHD students to. The use of an iPad will provide my students with hands-on technology on a regular basis. My students will be able to use the iPad during small group instruction to master learning Spanish, language arts, math, and science concepts. Having an iPad in our classroom will increase student engagement in my class and I can use it meet the needs of individual students and differentiate instruction to keep everyone engaged and motivated. The iPad would be an enormous help by minimize distractions for my students with special needs who has ADD and ADHD. They would be able to focus on what they are learning. I will be able to differentiate instruction in my classroom by providing individual students with learning games at their level and interest. My students will be able to improve in all academic areas.
