Utilizing more technology in the class room and therapy settings WILL allow for more student success. The use of iPads will enhance skills across all subject areas, including communication skills. Our limited verbal and non-verbal students will be more motivated to engage with their peers and classroom content. Using iPads will allow the students to meet various sensory needs since it is such an interactive piece of technology. iPads will also enable classrooms to provide students with additional reinforcement of what was previously learned throughout the day. Students who benefit from alternative forms of communication will also gain more experience and exposure with the aid of iPad applications. Using iPads can also increase more independence in learning as students will be able to navigate the devices themselves!
