Working with special needs students, it is important to encourage development in all aspects of learning. Social-emotional skills are often an area that is underdeveloped in this age group in our district. The resources in this project will help to teach students to not only better understand their emotions and needs but also how to understand the emotions and needs of others. It will help teach them how their actions can affect others, in both positive and negative ways. Helping students foster their social-emotional development will help students throughout all aspects of their education.

About my class
