Our students need a special seating rug for story time in the library. We have preschool and special needs preschool students at our school and these students in particular are still learning how to sit in a given space. Our lower grade students and our special needs students have a hard time keeping their hands and feet to themselves and need a special spot to sit quietly in to listen to stories. Our older students come in the library during lunch and like to lie on the floor to read. Unfortunately, the existing old carpet is thin, worn, and dingy. A new rug will make the floor a more inviting place to lounge and read. It will add a little more padding and make the whole area feel clean, bright and cheerful.
