By the time students get to junior high, many of them tell me they do not enjoy reading. My response to that is that they must not be reading the right books. This school year I have decided to focus on bringing the love of reading back into my students' lives. In order to do that, I need engaging books that connect with my students' interests. Earlier in the school year, I started doing book clubs in the classroom. We are currently on our third round and I have seen an amazing response to this project. I see my kids out on the playground reading, on the bus reading, and they are always asking for more reading time.
