My class is made up of 7 wonderfully individual kiddos! I am the teacher to the 3-4 Functional Life Skills class at Laketown School in Springfield, IL. My students' disabilities range from autism to cerebral palsy to developmental delays and more. My classroom staff includes a classroom aide and 3 1:1 aides. Even though my students are between the ages of 5 and 8, developmentally and cognitively they are between the ages of 6-8 months and 4 years old. We not only work on and learn our academic skills, we also learn about functional life skills such as play skills, social/emotional skills, hygiene, communication, and more. We love our brain breaks and free play time as much as we love our learning time! Any donation that is made will be greatly appreciated and put to great use!
