Literacy is important in all subject areas. I want these books to be read out loud to my mathematicians when introducing certain topics. Mathematicians like to read too, so we need to make sure they have access to books in their math classrooms. It is important that mathematicians can connect and learn math in many different ways. Allowing students to learn from a read-aloud helps supplement the lessons being taught in the classroom. This allows them to also make connections to what they are learning in different ways. Please support literacy in math classrooms!
