The designated resources requested in this project will replace the worn-out copies that we use each year during our whole-group novel studies. Within each study, I plan to continue to focus on important literacy skills like making inferences, summarization, cause/effect, as well as fluency and comprehension skills. Outside of the obvious content skills that will be of particular focus, the novel studies will also encourage critical thinking skills. By focusing on character development, students will also be able to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the significance of the plot by connecting the similarities and differences to their own lives.

About my class
