I work with an amazing group of students in upstate New York. The location of our small district is unique, and my class is comprised of children who come from urban, rural, and suburban locations. This is not a wealthy area with about 1/3 of the students eligible for the free/reduced price lunch program. Since many students cannot afford to have a wide variety of books at home, I am attempting to build up my classroom library to expose them to a wide variety of genres.

About my class
