The IPads will allow all my students to participate in real life activities such as money management and time management. My young adults work out in the community to learn important vocational skills that will enable them to gain employment. My classroom is set up in a simulated real life environment. The students (interns) clock in/out, are paid bi-weekly, and use the student run school bank to "deposit" their checks. They are given bills that they must pay to enhance their learning of money management skills. The IPads will enable everyone to have the same opportunity to learn and practice important skills by accessing apps that are at their level. Currently, we have one classroom desktop that we share. Having increased technology will eliminate the waiting for your turn. These young adults will learn how to access technology that is relevant and accessible to them as they move onto adulthood.
