These materials will allow us to adhere to CDC guidelines by providing each student with their own Rubik's cube. They can be used in our hybrid model of learning in person and/or at home virtually. Solving the Rubik's cube in a variety of ways will only be the beginning of each lesson - the students' key to unlocking each lesson, ultimately instilling a sense of accomplishment and pride. Additionally motivating and exciting the students with a hands-on approach to introducing each lesson. This project will further encourage learning and innovation skills for critical thinking and problem solving, which gifted students already possess! Rubik's cube solving will allow students to exert fidgety energy while understanding interconnectedness among systems, identify and ask significant questions, exercising sound reasoning and judgement, following directions, promoting life and career skills for initiative and self-direction.
