Our students are active learners. They are kinesthetic, which means their learning style takes place by students carrying out physical activities, rather than listening to a lecture or watching demonstrations. Providing students with the option to stand allows their minds to moonlight in math class. Kinesthetic learners, essentially, need to move. They wiggle, tap, sway back and forth, and often just do not successfully sit still for a lesson. They learn through their bodies. Having a stand up desk grants students with the option to wiggle, sway, and bounce as needed in order for them to focus on the task at hand.
