My students are a gifted bunch that works hard to meet my constant urging to reach "outside their comfort zone". The students represent a wide range of social-economic backgrounds with very diverse stories. Many days, students struggle to express their thoughts and ideas through peer projects, even when given wide-open creative license. To meet the challenges of the future, these students need more practice in expressing, honing, and sharing their ideas, opinions, and concerns in a way that builds and molds a successful final project or answer to a problem. Students will need to rely on fertile creative thought processes if they are to establish the self-confidence and "gung-ho" attitudes that will be essential for their success in the future.
