Having access to culturally diverse text is something that is so powerful and important. These books can be read through a teacher-led read aloud, students can read them with their peers, or the students can read them individually. These books will help all students feel welcome and represented in or out of the classroom. By having these books readily available, I will be able to provide students with books that are more relatable to the student. If students see themselves positively through literature, they will be more aware of their potential in the world.

About my class
