With the current educational models, our student are coming to school 2 days per week and learning from home the other 3. I am fortunate to be supplied with a laptop, and my students are fortunate to be able to be provided with a Chromebook, but the quality of lessons is often attached to the quality of the presentation. I want to be able to give my students in the hybrid and full virtual model, as normal of an experience as possible. I want to be able to give them the option to live stream in or watch quality screen cast recordings.
With my current set up, I have low quality audio, and okay video, I want to change that. Through the use of a higher quality microphone the students will be able to hear my voice and instruction much more effectively. Through the use of the video tools, I can record myself giving instruction, or working through a presentation on the computer. I want to use this opportunity to create a new path in their education, so even students at home don't feel left out.
