My middle schoolers are bright, energetic, and endlessly curious. They come to my classroom carrying rich cultural stories, multiple languages, and a wide range of life experiences. Every day, they show resilience, humor, and a desire to learn—even when the work is challenging. They ask big questions, support one another, and surprise me with the perspectives they bring to our discussions. My students deserve resources that reflect who they are and honor their potential, and I’m committed to giving them a learning environment where they feel seen, valued, and capable of greatness. During our new Drop Everything and Read period, I watch them settle into books with growing confidence, excitement, and pride. I love helping them see reading as something joyful and I’m grateful for the chance to support them every day.
