My students love hands-on learning experiences and everyday I strive to make learning engaging and interactive. One of their favorite times is when we are able to go to the computer lab. This is a time when all students are able to engage in activities geared to their levels and interests. Unfortunately, our time in the lab is limited to 30 minutes once a week. Of the students our school services, 80% qualify for free or reduced lunch. Most of the students in my room have limited or no access to technology at home. Technology has become a standard way of life for everyone. I want to insure that my students are ready for the challenges of life outside the classroom walls.
