My goal is to transform an antiquated library from being an archaic room full of dusty, old, unused resources to an up-to-date, instructional hub at our school. A warm inviting environment is on the top of my list to entice students to visit the library. The current seating we have was pulled together from all over the school. They are gold colored plastic chairs with rusty chrome colored frames. Some of them are cracked with loose fitting bottoms that move or pinch when sitting down. A casual learning environment with comfortable seating would enhance students experiences in the library. An inviting atmosphere is conducive to a learning environment. I would like to replace the current worn chairs. Cardinal red chairs with black frames are what I have selected to promote an appealing mood. Our library is not just a place to sit and read. You will find students researching online, making projects or playing chess. All of these activities require a nice comfortable place to sit.
