My students are English Learning students whose parents are from Haiti. Many of them are completing their first year in an American school. Most of them have acquired the basics of the language but have much more to learn. They are eager to learn it is just that they need a little more help in mastering reading comprehension. Many of them have no technology at home so they are not able to utilize our reading series that has all the books on line with interactive activities. They also have access to an On line language development program but are not able to use the play at home version. My schools is located in the inner city which is referred to as Little Haiti. It is a Title One school and most of our students receive free or reduce lunch.
