The need for adequate supplies is vital for a healthy art education program. Our art room has numerous areas of need, and the budget will provide for only the highest priority items. This project seeks to supplement tools and materials specific to working three dimensionally; including design and engineering projects, multi-media sculpture, and other up-cycling projects. This type of work allows all students to learn National Standards in compelling and exciting ways. Art supplies are very costly, yet they are critical to a strong arts program. Some of these supplies need to be replenished frequently, and other tools will last in perpetuity. Tools like pliers, staplers, and glue guns will last for years and years to come - and will help hundreds of students build each year. While supplies such as glue sticks will get used and need to be purchased again in the future, your support will establish a strong foundation of items, so that in the future, our art studio will be more self-sustaining. Art education helps students think more creatively, problem solve, express themselves, and become stronger future leaders. Your assistance in building-up our art studio will greatly impact the creative force for upwards of 300 Title I students each year! No matter a child’s age, developmental level, or artistic ability, ALL students can benefit from the satisfaction of working in tactile, kinesthetic, hands-on three dimensional work.
