Teaching about our state's history by using the Northern Lights Series will give my students the insight of their great state. These textbooks will be used to learn about colorful primary sources and engaging personal stories from the Minnesota Historical Society's collections to bring our state's history to life. My students will be able to further understand the wonderful and beautiful state they are living in. My students will be able to get engaged in their learning while they are developing their critical thinking skills. Along with reading about Minnesota's history, students will be able to participate in hands on activities to really learn what Minnesota was like at the beginning. Students will have the opportunity to make or wear the different things they learn about. Please help me give my students a chance to learn about their past. Thank you.
