OT (Occupational Therapy) has a special role in supporting students in both general education classrooms and special education classroom in maximizing the potential of their own bodies and minds to support learning. My students range is a mix of students with different disabilities that affect them cognitively and or physically. My school has a wonderful team that works together on Individual Education Plan's (IEP's) to determine what related services are required for the student to access the educational program at our school. My OT services may include direct 1:1 session with the students, small group sessions with the students, and/or consultation for classroom needs with other staff members.
