Art is so important in the lives of our children. Few people realize how important the arts are in the future professions of our students. I have seen students enter my middle school art program with trepidations. Within a week, they transform their feelings of inadequacy into phenomenal signs of self confidence. Challenged on a higher level, they realize no limitations other than public funding for supplies which are expensive and consumable. Monthly, we run out of colored pencils even. To be able to paint is practically ... actually a dream for my students.
