My name is Shannon Simpson. This is my sixth year instructing Chattahoochee's Technology Connection class. I teach over 1,200 students in a nine day rotation class setting. I also coach our school's robotics team, Jr. Metal Crusaders. Our team participates in the First Lego League which challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers. During the competition season, teams will choose and solve real-world problems. They will also build, test, and program an autonomous robots. It is my pleasure to teach our students technology skills that will give them a foundation in Computer Science. As a teacher, keeping up with today's technology can be challenging. As we know, technology can be very expensive, but very necessary for students to have the correct equipment and programs to excel in today's society.
