These books will further diversify our classroom library and keep our readers enthusiastic about books. Many of these books belong to series that my students already love, so they are guaranteed to fly off the shelves! Refreshing our library with new, diverse, high-interest books keeps the magic of reading alive in our classroom. The freedom to choose high-interest books is essential in developing a child's identity as a reader. These new books will provide true joy to well-deserving children. Finally, many of these books feature characters of color and strong female characters. It is important that students see themselves reflected in the books they read, so my mission is to keep my library as diverse as possible!
