Hello, I am the fifth grade writing and language teacher at a K-5 elementary school. I taught music the last 10 years and currently switched over to the general education classroom. We are a title 1 school and all of our students get free lunch. We are a majority African American school with a large Hispanic population and a small Caucasian population. It is important that my students receive adequate computer time for their writing projects which includes a school newspaper. Students are also required to do assignments and submitting them through the computer. Currently we must share the 5 computers which limits the student's time to work with technology. It is my goal to eventually have a laptop for each child.
