High interest books will help the most reluctant readers in my classroom immerse themselves in unknown adventures that will captivate them and encourage them to continue reading. I have many students with diverse backgrounds that experience challenges with reading; therefore, providing an outlet with high interest and varied leveled books will allow for all reading levels to experience the joy of reading. The ability to obtain additional books in the classroom will afford students to opportunity to travel to different areas, read for enjoyment and discover higher order levels of thinking. Students will be able to conduct group discussions and learn from one another via text to text, text to self, and text to world.
