Welcome to my Family Consumer Science Classroom. I am in my first year of teaching at an alternative high school, helping low socioeconomic students. We are a second chance for students that have struggled in traditional educational settings. Our students are able to complete credit recovery and have a greater hope for graduation. Approximately half of our student body has a learning disability. We strive to make our students feel successful not only in the educational setting, but in their lives outside of the classroom. I am building a brand new CTE Family and consumer Science department that can help students gain professional knowledge for their futures through culinary arts, fashion and textiles, interior design, and early childhood education. These classes can help them learn life schools, and spark passions for learning. I love seeing my students have hope for a brighter future.
