My students are trying to break into the competitive digital age through creative activities and flexible seating! Many of our students live at the poverty level, and thus are behind others in funds and opportunities for growth. I am pushing to close the gap and integrating technology in their learning. Gone are the days of traditional desks, chairs, paper, and pencils. My students are learning to investigate, control, and manipulate standards of the curriculum! We are working hard at STEM centers, where students explore their own concepts, create projects to impact the future, and take responsibility for the success of their own learning. My students want to feel successful, prove what they are doing matters, and show how they can make a difference in the world around us. I want to empower them to look to the future with hope and certainty that no matter their economic status or background, THEY ARE WORTH IT!
