Flexible seating empowers students to be able to choose how they do their best learning. Flexible seating allows students to be more engaged in their work and less disruptive to their peers. My students are active first graders who sometimes have trouble sitting in a traditional seat. This takes away from their learning time and causes a sense of frustration for a six-year old. Funding this project will allow my students the opportunity to choose a flexible method at the desk, or on the rug, where they might be able to learn more and learn how to make good choices.
My students would benefit from the opportunity to choose how they do their best learning. Currently, my students only have a couple of choices in the room but this project will allow them to make more effective choices. These stools are beneficial in helping them get their wiggles out! The wobble chairs are light weight for easy transportation through the room, but are also extremely safe for wiggle 1st graders.
I have seen how choosing a better seating option has already helped students and I want to be able to provide them with more opportunities.
