Students learn best when given the chance to collaborate with there peers. By having a classroom with round tables it will give all students an opportunity to be actively engaged in small groups where they feel safe sharing their ideas. The desks that they have now are to big to be placed in groups. This takes away from the important sharing that needs to occur for students to work together to meet the rigorous demands of our state standards. These desks will allow them to also utilize other spaces in the room as well. It would give us space to have a meeting area on the back floor.
