My students see technology as a tool, not a camera for selfies and status updates. We are tech hungry group that loves to create innovative apps and games in STEM education. Every grade level, socio-economic group, race, gender, and social clique is represented in our club. In tech, it's a level playing field, and we are discovering without a collaborative team effort, success is unattainable. As one of the most popular clubs on campus, it's creating a culture of team work and growth within students that may not otherwise even speak to one another, let alone create together. We meet several times per week to learn about new tech and create our own technology. We see the opportunity for a Makerbot 3D printer as a chance to be one of the forerunners in the race for STEM education in public schools. We plan to design and code STEM games online, while bringing characters to life with 3D imaging.
