My classes are mainly composed of students in the 11th and 12th grade. These students are in very important years of their high school careers. They are not only determining what they want to do with the rest of their lives, finding colleges to apply to and taking very demanding high stakes test but they are also getting into some of the most challenging math courses that they will take in high school. Many of my students wish to pursue careers in education, nursing and engineering as well as many other fields that require them to have a strong background in math. Especially my 12th graders that are taking this class in preparation for college. I also am the coordinator for Jumpstart Communications. An after school class for students that are interested in pursuing a career in communications. We have speakers, go on trips, and the students also get real-life experience assignments to go on.
